Participating at the conference was leaders of the City party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland front Committee of Mong Cai Town, the Members of city standing committee of the party, leaders of functional offices, sections, communes, wards and the representative voters of some communes, wards.
At the meeting, Mr Le Dinh Truong has informed the voters of the socio-economic situation; content, program of the 11th session, the eleventh national assembly and heard the ideas, petitions of the local voters to National assembly.
The idea of the local voters is mainly focussed on the solving difficulties of policy, mechanism for Mong Cai border economic zone; invesment in some works to create favourable condition for trade, tourism activities as : the Mong Cai – Ha Long highway project, to hasten the progress of building Bac Luan 2 bridge ….
At the meeting, the voters expressed the hope that the Government should pay greater attention to invest in urban infrastructure to create favourable condition for Mong Cai Town to become the City before the year 2010 in accordance with the Decree No. 54 NQ/TW of the Political Bureau. At the meeting, Mr Nguyen Van Trung - the Member of provincial standing committee of the party - the Secretary of city party committee – Chairman of the People’s Council listed difficulties, shortcomings of Mong Cai Town, particularly after implementing the Law on state budget, and he also suggested some proposals that have strategic meaning for development of the Town, closely connected with the national interest, as well as he informed, explained some related problems that the voter concerned.
Mr Le Dinh Truong highly appreciated the ideas, petitions of the local voters, he also explained some concerned problems, and other ideas, he recorded, in company with the national assembly delegation of Quang Ninh Province will propose with national assembly. Finally, He wish the Party and people in Mong Cai Town to bring into full play advantages, overcome difficulties, to fulfill the socio-economic development plan ahead of schedule in 2007 and the coming years.
